How do two bodies engage in dialogue? This is a question that circulates around my mind as I swirl my daily coffee and stand on a tight train car with dozens of strangers. I am interested in how they navigate the space in relation to one and other on both the conscious and subconscious level. Will they meld or will they retain their unique identities? Will they assume a dichotomist relationship? Will they engage in a struggle to dominate the space? I explore these concepts in my paintings where compression of animal and human forms results in an ambiguous space where these forms aggregate and decay.
